Differential elements: Its uniqueness lies in the variety and abundance of schematic figures—human, zoomorphic, and ideomorphic—created using different techniques and thicknesses, making the shelter one of the most complete and studied sets in Extremadura. Its most unique element is the display of figures with masks or “rostrillos” and the family altar, distinctive symbols that reflect the fusion between faith and popular expression in Alcalá la Real.

Use of Technology: The Abrigo de La Calderita, as an open-air archaeological site, does not involve direct use of technology on the site itself, other than an audio guide. However, studies and interpretation of the site have incorporated modern technological tools. These include digital tracings, high-resolution photography, and graphic documentation and pigment analysis techniques used in recent research to conserve and study the paintings without damaging them.
